We collect what helps carry your Prep forward.

You can complete a Water Heater Prep and receive your Quote Brief without creating an account. We use an anonymous browser identifier for product analytics and to understand which acquisition channels are useful.

If you ask for quote review or buyer-side quote search, we store the contact information, target price, and context you provide. To seek offers, we may share the structured job details and job ZIP with a small number of prospective providers. We do not need to give providers your email address or phone number merely to ask whether they can accept, counter, or pass.

Uploaded files are treated as untrusted input. Our private review screen is designed to show safe preview copies rather than exposing the original upload during normal review.

Google Analytics, when enabled, receives categorical product events. We do not intentionally send email addresses, phone numbers, target prices, uploaded document text, filenames, or free-text customer notes to Google Analytics.

This beta uses Azure SQL as the primary operational store. Retention practices may evolve as real usage earns a more formal storage lifecycle.
